musicbuff,

I have posted my first post in another blog also, my first post because of which we had a series of discussion in this blog. I copied and pasted the articles of newspapers which you posted in this blog to substantiate my point of view in the other blog. I just wanted to confirm with you that these were public articles; I assumed them to be public as you have stated the newspaper name, the city and the date.

There is a person with the mail id ‘truth’ in that blog and he/she has accused me of plagiarism (stealing someone else’s comments). I suspect that person is there in this blog and has been a part of the discussion here. But he/she couldn’t fight with me here and hence is making personal attacks in that blog.

I never knew this would get so nasty. Since the beginning I have been emphasizing that I am not against any state or any community. I just wanted to have a debate and highlight what I believe are the unethical practices of Zee. I have always told I am only against Zee’s practices and not against anyone else.

Sandipb,

Discard my last post, because you may get confused so I have corrected it. I am being extra cautious now in what I am writing.

I have told the singers have to be reasonbly good for Zee to push. I am not saying Smita was a bad singer but Zee chose Anamika over Smita. Zee had Anamika to get them votes from her region so they let go Smita. Zee is not stupid that it will bring only these states candidates to top 3 everytime. Then Zee’s games become obvious to people. After all Zee also has to keep its reputation to some extent at least, it can’t become so blatant in these matters in front of public. If Anamika was not there then may be Smita would have been pushed by Zee to top 3 along with Rohanpreet. There is a very thin line Sandipb, I think I can’t explain any more on this discussion.

Its fine, if you don’t find any logic in what I say. I got the same comment from ‘terwander’ why Zee didn’t push Harpreet Deol. I have the same answer for him too. Harpreet was weak compared to other contestants in that competition. If he was like Aneek then he would have definitely been pushed to top 3 with the same love story dramas.

One contestant/region is good for Zee. End of the day the same people vote. Either all those votes come to one single person or get divided between the two. The number of votes remain the same. It doesn’t help Zee monetarliy to have two contestants from one region.

Please don’t ask me all the finer details. I just wanted to bring to public notice how Zee is making money on Saregamapa which I got to know by one of Zee insiders only. If you don’t want to believe it, its perfectly fine with me.

Finally, I see all my posts. Thanks Anshi.

Hope I have answered your questions and your misumderstandings have come down a little. All I meant to say about Amir was that if he was from Bengal/Assam/Punjab/Maharashtra state then Zee would not have let judges criticize Amir so harshly and he would have been pushed to top 3 even if he was not this good a singer. Zee wants money and nothing else, hence in trying to protect Rohanpreet by keeping non elimination round(to get votes from Punjab, Canada, UK in the grand finale) Amir got eliminated. I hate Zee because it doesn’t mind eliminating talented singers, all that matters to Zee is MONEY!!!

Anyways, I am done with reality shows.

For the last time, let me tell my top 3 choice.

1. Anamika
2. Amir Hafiz
3. Vasundhara

Please note this is completely my choice.

What about you guys? Let us all share our choice of top 3 including all the contestants.

Sonniagul1,

I have written a post replying Sandipb and some how it hasn’t been posted yet. You will find the answer for your question of Amir in that post.

In short, I have never stated that Amir didn’t receive votes from Non Muslims. That is the conclusion you guys are drawing. I have explained the context in my up coming post why I used that sentance. You got to wait for that post.

You are right, I agree with you too about the public voting. You can’t have fair results at least in the shows which involve public voting. You may still trust if judges choose because they are responsible and you can question them. But in public voting, whom you ask, whom you blame. Everything then depends on which community or state votes more for their favorites. There is nothing to do with talent or talent hunt they are just words.

Sandipb, same to you. Chill down!!!

I have stated clearly that I don’t have anything against any region or religion. Just like every community votes for their contestant I said if Muslims also had voted for Amir like Bengalis, Assamis, punjabis then Amir would have got into top 3. I have never mentioned that non-muslims don’t vote for Muslims. Simply don’t draw wrong conclusions.

Or I say, if Amir was from Bengal or Assam state then he would have definitely been in top 3. Or I say if Madhya Pradesh was like these states then Amir was in top 3.

Amir was eliminated because of less votes, I agree but if Zee wanted they could have got him to top 3 by not criticizing him so harshly and by not keeping that non-elimination round. Zee kept the non-elimination round to protect Rohanpreet, they wanted Rohanpreet to come in top 3 as they wanted votes to come from Punjab, Canada and UK in the grand finale. In that process Amir had to go!!!

I have stated clearly, its only Zee to be blamed and not any region or religion or any community.

I feel bad that though mentioning it clearly people want to look for something controversial like religion or region.

For god sake, don’t attack me. Good for you if you don’t want to believe it. I just wrote the facts and I am not forcing anyone to believe it.

Peace.

Musicbuff,

I know about Maharashtra state also and hence I mentioned its name in my post.

Abhijit Sawant, the winner of Indian Idol 1 was from Mumbai. Amit sana was a better singer than him. But Jai Maharashtra!!! And hence Abhijit Sawant was praised highly every time to make him a winner.

Again I repeat, every channel is in business. These channels are using unethical means to maximize thier profits. Thats all I wanted to bring to public notice. By the way, I am done with reality shows. What is the point in watching these shows when you are not guaranteed that a most talented singer would win.

Musicbuff,

Please take it easy!!! You are right when you say that because more votes come from Bengal, Punjab, Assam those candidates win the compitition. Thats exacly what I am trying to tell. Zee knows that if they keep at least one contestant from these states in top 3 then Zee can make loads of money. And for that even if they have to eliminate some talented singer entering into top 3, they would do it. I am not saying Bengal has no talent, I know that Bengalis are highly intelligent and talented. But it can’t happen that every time a Bengali wins even if he/she is an average singer compared to the others in the compitition. I gave you the example of Debojit!!!

During Aneek’s time we all know that Zee let people use software to cast votes so that Aneek takes over Raja. Otherwise Raja was so popular he wouldn’t have come second. Zee uses one or the other means to make sure that contestants from these states win. Zee doesn’t want to cut down on steady profits which they can make in every compition just by having one contestant from these states in top 3. And Zee wants to keep these states happy so that they continue to vote enthusiastically every time and Zee keeps making good money. Other states don’t vote so much even if their contestant gets into top 3.

Remember when the compitition gets closer to top 5 or top 3 only then the people of any state start voting more until then the number of votes remain pretty low. Its only during top 5 and especially top 3 that votes increase. And votes from eastern part of India come in trucks during grand finale. You know about Prashat Tamang of Indian Idol 3 and Sardars get votes from Punjab, Canada and UK.

Zee uses many tactics and have many controversies to make sure a contestant from these states is pushed to top 3. Otherwise, Aneek would have got eliminated long back. Why do you think those love stories..etc started in the show. Contestants from these states need to be reasonably good singers and Zee will support them to reach finale and for that if Zee has to get rid of most talented contestant they would do it like suddenly keeping non-elimination round etc.

For your kind information, I got this news from one of Zee insiders.

Well, thanks for the Verbose Award!!! Appreciate it.
